If you are using a virtual Mac (either Oracle VB or vmWare), follow the directions for creating a bootable Mac USB on a real Mac (I used iAtkos ML2 and a MicroCenter (OEM Kingston) USB thumb drive - specifically, the 8GB "Banner Green" thumb drive). It should work with vmWare Player or Workstation (unlocked), and an 圆4 version of either Windows or Linux as the host (I used Windows 8 Pro 圆4 as the host). I use a variant of the above-listed virtual Mac method, but with vmWare (not Oracle VirtualBox).
